How it ended after seven seasons

Warning: This story contains spoilers from April 23 -series Finale of Conners.

After seven seasons, Conners said goodbye with an emotional tribute to the family’s late matriarch, Roseanne (Roseanne Barr).

The two-part final in ABC-Sitcom ended on April 23 with Dan Conner (John Goodman) preparation for its deposit for the mood involving the manufacturer of the drugs that led to Roseanne’s unintentional opioid overdose, which was revealed in the premiere section of Conners.

He admitted, “The only thing I’m really nervous about is what happens when their lawyer starts Roseanne with a bad mouth. I have a long history of beating people in their mouths for it.”

In the deposit, Dan was pressed by the lawyers about Roseanne’s addictive personality, history of overeating and drug abuse before they suggested that Dan did not “wanted to take responsibility for what happened.”

The patriarch was upset with the accusation and answered angrily, “If you say what I think you say, it may be the last thing you say, your bitch son. I told her she could overdose.”

After the lawyers claimed it could not be the company’s fault because Roseanne knew she was doing something “potentially deadly”, then had enough and struggled back and said, “It was the company’s fault. She continued to take those pills because she didn’t tell her they would change how her brain worked and turning her into an addict.

“But even though I took every penny you had, it wouldn’t be enough, because you took the love in my life and you killed her, the same as you put a gun against her head,” he continued. “The only difference is that you handed her the gun and told her it was not charged.”

Later, Dan was excited when he found out that the pharmaceutical company sent him a check after the deposit and decided that the family would meet in the cemetery and open it together.

Dan was ready to celebrate the family’s sudden happiness in the cemetery and said, “This is a fantastic day for the family. Sometimes people like us think you don’t get a silver feed, but if you continue to press, you sometimes do.”

But he was a surprise when he opened the envelope and found a letter from the lawyer, where they denied responsibility for Rosanne’s death and offered him a check of $ 700 as “a tribute to your unmatched commitment to your beloved wife.”

“We always wondered how much a Conner’s life is worth. Now we know,” he said before the family broke down in laughter and he decided to use the money for “good use” and order food for the house.

Before leaving the cemetery, Becky Conner (Lecy Goranson) spoke with her mother on her tombstone and said, “Hi, Mom, I’m still sober. Can you believe it? And my psychology degree really pays me off. Oh, and I met a good guy, a little needy, but good.”

Darlene Conner (Sara Gilbert) told her late mother that she did “what I thought you would do for the family”, and added “It’s not fair that you were here for the hard part and that you didn’t see it. Things turned out okay … Hello, for us, not for ordinary people.”

Jackie Harris (Laurie Metcalf) then showed his police uniform for younger sister after returning to the strength. “I’m really happy now. I know you didn’t think it was possible, but I figured it out. Oh, and by the way I have no idea where our mom is. I miss you,” she said.

Finally, it was dance turn to talk to his late wife and share, “Well, Rose, we always said if the children were still alive at the end of the day, we did our job. I think we will be better than that … I still can’t think you’re not here.”

“I know you want a good thing for me too and probably didn’t include Louise (Katey Sagal), but if you meet someone, wherever you are, I’m cool with it, ”he said.

When Dan arrived back to the house, he took the loss of the atmosphere in steps and told the family: “Going through all this reminds me that no matter how much shit life throws at us, all we have to do is look around, because if we hang out together, nothing can stop us.” They all roasted to his words.

After each family member emotionally said goodbye, Dan sat on the couch when Flashbacks played by the family over the years. Then, with a small smile, he said “goodnight” before leaving.
