Hospital patient accused of attempted murder after claiming the nurse attacked



A hospital patient has been charged with attempted murder after claiming a nurse at a hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida, according to the authorities.

Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office shared in a Post on X. The Stephen Scantlebury was arrested on allegations of attempted murder after claiming “exacerbated a battery against a nurse” at Palms West Hospital.

The police stated in another post on X that officers were sent to the scene around 13:20 local time on February 18, when they found the nurse “critically injured.” She was then “transported to St. Mary’s Hospital” while Scantlebury, 33, was arrested. ”

The police said the incident was under the investigation of the Violent Crimes Division and “additional updates” would be provided.

In an update that was shared on Thursday 20 February, the police said that “an improvement in hate crimes” was added to Scantlebury’s “existing accusation for attempts at other degrees”, based on their “ongoing investigations.”

The police said in the commitment that “essentially every leg in the victim’s face is broken and the victim is likely to lose the use of both eyes” as a result of the incident. The police described the severity of her injuries as “critical” and found that because of her injuries she could not submit a statement to the investigators.
