On Tuesday, September 16, the actor and director died in his home in Utah, at the age of 89.

“Robert Redford passed away on September 16, 2025, at his home in Sundance in Bergen in Utah – the place he loved, surrounded by those he loved,” Cindi Berger, chairman and CEO of Rogers & Cowan PMK, told People in a statement. “He will be much missing. The family is requesting integrity.”

After the announcement of his death, many celebrities have paid tribute to the icon’s life and inheritance.
