“I have worn makeup probably three times since I have left Today show And i have been away for almost two months, ”the former co -anchor tells people by the first Runway for recovery Fashion show in NYC on February 27, which gathered over $ 456K to support families who have lost a parent of metastatic breast cancer.
Mornings now look drastically different than when Kotb, 60, was on the air. Instead of preparing for an early morning glam session, the mother goes to two her daughters – Hajyjelse9 and Hope Catherine5-to school in a relaxed outfit, without cameras or millions of viewers watching.
“Sometimes I go with jeans if I go crazy, but for a walk to school it is usually leggings because I have either just trained or I will. Sneaks, hat, of course and face cream, says TV personality.
Runway for recovery
She adds, “I am with ten children who go to school together and a couple of moms. I go, ‘This is amazing. Look at me with my sweating on and my coffee. I’m in it.'”
This change in Pace has not only changed her morning tour but has also given her a new perspective. “Do you know what I realized? I no longer look at myself, she says. “You look at yourself at work because there is a large mirror and camera and you are like,” Oh, my hair is a mess, so you are constantly hassle. ”
Kotb continues, “But I no longer notice. My kids are like, “Mom, you look crazy right now.” But do you know what? I’m happy. ”
Although her daily routine has changed Today With her: a bundle of friendship bracelets that she carries her arm. “They come from my last day,” shares kotb.

Points to some of the bracelets, she adds, “all these bracelets I got are from people who gave me them on the last day. This lady gave me one who says “January 10, 2025″ – she gave me the date. This one says ”Today show’. This one says: ‘Hoda. Please be kind. ‘The one who gave me one on the last day I have carried it. I can’t take them off yet. ”
In the middle of the collection of bracelets, a gold linked chain stands out. “Savannah (Guthrie) Gave this to me, it says “with you,” Kotb says, referring to its long medical anchor.
While you say goodbye to Today Is bitter sweetness, kotb is excited for what is ahead. “It feels like a new dawn.”
