High school seniors answer questions from the sixth grade self

“Throwback” has a new meaning for five graduates seniors from a school in Tennessee.

In an NU-Viral Video Posted by McCallie SchoolAn all-boy boarding school in Chattanooga, the students were filmed and answered questions asked by their sixth grade in a video taken in 2018.

“Now it’s time for the same McCallie seniors to answer their childhood questions,” the school wrote in a Tiktok Post, which was shared on Monday, May 19, which has collected more than six million likes from Tuesday, May 20.

The questions range from questions about teenagers’ favorite sports and movies to greater ideas about future plans and philosophies of life. The Seniors – Canon Brock, Will Turrell, Nkenge Ashford, Christian Lawhorn and Ward Richey – respond to their younger self with humor and feelings.

“Is your favorite hobby still solving a Rubik’s cube, just like me?” Brock asks 2018. Seven years later he says, “I thought I was so tough to be able to do it back during the day.”

Ashford confirms it Star Wars Is still his favorite movie, while Turrell says he no longer considers world history as his preferred subject in the class. “I’m a science guy now,” says Turrell today.

Brock even teases himself.

“Also, what is your favorite, eh, what is your favorite sport? Is it still football?” His sixth grade asks.

“Stutter is crazy,” replies Brock 2025. “No. Football, definitely,” he continues. “Go birds.”

The tenor to the video shifts as the teens navigate more serious questions.

Sixth class Lawhorn is asking about life’s most important lesson so far.

“Always be kind to others and always love others,” says Lawhorn 2025. Just treat your neighbor as you would do as yourself. ”

The teens, who graduated from McCallie School on Sunday, May 18, also reflected their Alma Mater and their connection to each other.

“I think the biggest thing I remove from McCallie is that it is the most important step you can take to build friendship, build a career, build all kinds of life,” says Brock.

He will go at Mississippi State University in the fall, while Turrell will go to Yale University; Ashord will go at Tennessee Wesleyan University, Lawhorn is enrolled at the University of Alabama and Richey will go to the University of South-Sewanee.

“What I will miss most about McCallie is to be with this group of guys,” says Ashford. “Some of the guys I’ve been with for seven years and it’s just a special relationship.”

He adds, “I think I will miss the people I am here with the most.”
