“High School Musical” director Kenny Ortega had “premonition” on role (exclusive)

Ortega spoke exclusively with people when attending the opening evening Stranger Things: The First Shadow At Broadway at Marquis Theater on Tuesday, April 22. During the conversation, the famous director, choreographer and producer recalled one of their most vibrant memories from High school music set.

“There are many of them (memories), so many of them,” said Ortega, 75. “But we filmed High School Musical 1And we filmed the finals, “We’re all in this together.” And we had all these cameras running, and the actors and dancers, and I looked into the gym and I said, “Man, if Disney does the job we do here, this will reach many people,” he says.

Ortega also revealed one of its favorite songs from all the time from the franchise.
