A helicopter crashed into the Hudson River on Thursday afternoon, according to fire and police officials. All 6 people on board have died, according to several stores.
The New York Police Department confirmed the crash on social media shortly after 15:30 local time on Thursday, April 10. “Due to a helicopter crash in the Hudson River, near the West Side Highway and Spring Street, expect emergency vehicles and traffic delays in the surrounding areas,” the police, “the police wrote in a statement.

The New York City Fire Department tells People that the crash occurred on the New Jersey side of the water but that FDNY helps. Hoboken Fire Department confirmed that the crash took place in Jersey.
Although there has not yet been an official confirmation of injured, WABC-TV and WCBS TV and Associated Press reported that all six people on board have died, with reference to sources. When reached by people, both NYPD and the Coast Guard said that they could not confirm any details.
According to WABC TV, officials say there were 3 adults, including the pilot and 3 children on board. A source for law enforcement tells people that a family of 5 from Spain was at the helicopter at the crash.

Federal Aviation Administration, which is investigating together with the National Transportation Safety Board, said that the aircraft, which remained immersed in the water, was one Bell 206 Helicopter.
Coast Guard, one of many agencies responds, they say have stopped traffic in the area and established a safety zone.
