Hailee Steinfeld kept a specific era in mind when you were filming Nexxus“New” Get Hy “campaign.
“I love a 90s supermodel hair reference, always,” Steinfeld tells People at the set of the Los Angeles campaign at the end of January. “I think it’s something so simple cool in the volume and structure.”
When it comes to her favorites from the 90s supermodels, says the actress, 28 ,: “Naomi (Campbell), Cindy (Crawford), Linda (Evangelista) … everyone.”
In the campaign, Steinfeld – who swings a voluminous outbuilding for the 90s shots – encourages people to “get skin” in all types of settings with Nexxus’ HY-Volume Collection. “Get Super” Hy “for your wedding”, Steinfeld – who Was engaged To Buffalo Bill’s Quarterback Josh Allen in November – says naughty when she officials a couple’s newpties.
“I love the game in words,” she says. “We have a lot of fun with that.”
HY-Volume Collection introduces a shampoo, conditioner and a volumizing foam. The range is formulated with the brand’s first hyaluronic hose technology to strengthen and chubby strings. Of course, the products also defend against humidity to increase the hair for hours.
“One of the best parts of the job is to dress out and doll up and gleam up for these events,” says Steinfeld. “I have paid so much more attention and worked harder to find ways to take care of my skin and take care of my hair through all this, because it is a lot. An event to the next, a push to the next. So I’m always so grateful to discover products that have ingredients such as HY-Volume collection. It gives your hair this feeling that you use.”

Although Steinfeld has long hair in the campaign, she has been swing a shorter cut Since the summer.
“I love to have been able to experiment with lengths,” she says. “Before I canceled my hair short, I had this constant inner monologue of what can I do with my hair that feels like a change, but does not interrupt it and do not paint it or do something that will cause damage? It was such a refreshing change – I think the greatest type of physical change I have ever gone through.”
Steinfeld initially cut the hair for his role in Upcoming film SinnerA supernatural horror in the 1930s.
“It was a bit fantastic because I cut my hair and then was on a plane the next day and then on set,” she says. “I was in this beautiful hairstyle that I really loved and it helped me to embody a character in a way I had not done before. A character’s physics can inform much. The wardrobe, the hair, the makeup – it’s so important.”

Steinfeld says she “had the time in my life” to play a vampire in the movie, which also stars Michael B Jordan.
“It was as challenging as it was fun,” she says. “What a learning curve to take on this supernatural element to this character, but makes it feel very human and very real. I think there is something with vampires that people love and really be drawn to. It’s just the most incredible original history. But yes, so interesting to spend your days covered with blood and fangs.”
Sinnerwhich premieres April 18, marks Steinfeld’s first major live action since 2018 Bumblebee.
“There are always the butterflies but so much excitement,” she says. “I couldn’t think of a better project to come back to the big screen with. This was my first movie back from the strike. And we were all so hungry to get back to work. I just love being in this creative world with so many people who are just so passionate and so creative and willing to do what it takes to create the most beautiful end product.”

Another outlet for her creativity has been her weekly newsletter Beau Society.
“The Beau Society is this great umbrella for all these other ideas, and I like to consider myself very ambitious,” she says. “I think it might be this kind of bridge to all these other things that fall under the umbrella, which I plan to venture into at some point. But I am so enjoying using it as a space to get in touch with people on a deeper level. I always felt that I had it with music, and that is not a whole week. A direct and personal connection to people who go through the same things.
With so much news on the horizon, can we expect Bob to stay?
“I think I will see how long we can get,” she says. “We’ll see if I can fight the desire to cut it.”
