“This is freedom. And I am moving forward with clarity, peace and self -permission. The legal system has decided. The case is closed. This is justice for Dee Dee, as I myself, which the system failed all my life,” she wrote and added, “The justice served and so was my time.”

Blanchard also targeted his ex-boyfriend Nicholas GodejohnWho was Sentenced to life in jail After being guilty of first degree murder in Dee’s death in 2018 and called him “deeply disturbed.”

“Yes, he is a deeply disturbed man. But he also knew the difference between right and wrong. Regardless of my role as unintentional manipulation … Nicholas made the decision to move on that night. It was a choice and he is not exempt from the consequences of that choice.”

In June 2015, Godejohn Dee staked to death while Blanchard, which he then dated, hid in a bathroom. His lawyers had claimed that he was manipulated by Blanchard, a Munchaus victim of proxyfor killing his mother and should have their accusations reduced to the murder of second degrees, according to Springfield News-Lader.

Blanchard was put in a wheelchair despite being able to walk, was forced to take medicines that she did not need and got her head shaved in an attempt to convince loved ones and society that she suffered from muscular dystrophy, leukemia and other diseases.

“His diagnosis of autism/Asperger’s does not apologize what he did. Mental health is complex, but liability is important and no one is over the law. His fate was decided by a panel, prosecutor, lawyers and 12 jurors who examined the same evidence that circulated online. His efforts have all been unsuccessful.

“I will not carry his actions on my shoulders anymore. I have taken responsibility for mine,” she explained.

During his trial, two Springfield psychologists told the court that they had diagnosed Godejohn with autism, per Springfield News-Lader. While Dr. Kent Franks, who testified in Godejohn’s defense, concluded that Godejohn has autism spectrum disorder level 2, which required a great support with associated intellectual deterioration, Robert Denney, whom prosecutor called as a refusing witness, said after a survey that he had diagnosed GOKEJOHN with autismtektrum.

She described an alleged relationship that Godejohn had with a woman named Dawn Bowker while he has been in prison. Blanchard claimed that they began as pen friends before their relationship became romantic and dark.

“Thankfully, like others who came after her, Dawn eventually found the strength to go away to save herself before losing her identity, as I once did,” she wrote and said, “This is not new behavior” from Godjohn.

“He is a man on a relentless search for his” perfect submissive “someone to implement his darkest wishes, even behind bars,” she believes. “But the truth is that more and more women are looking through the mask and choosing to escape. They are not his victims. They are survivors.”
