A camp mystical adviser who died in the Texas switches remembers her family.

According to Fox Affiliate OBLIGED and ABC News19-year-old Chloe Childress was one of the 27 camp mystical campers and advisors who died in Texas floods.

“When he returned as an adviser to the place she loved so dear, Chloe looked forward to spending her summer days loving and mentoring young girls at Camp Mystic,” reads the statement.

They added, “Our family was shocked to hear about the terrible tragic floods on the slopes, and we were destroyed to know that our precious Chloe was among the victims.”

“Although we know that her joy is now eternal and her faith has become a vision, our hearts are crushed by this loss and the similar heart damage in other families like ours,” the statement continued. “We want to mourn privately during this time and thank so many thoughtful people in advance for respected this wish.”

The family went on to extend their gratitude for “all kinds, your silent spoken prayers and the countless hearts of sympathy that carry us through these days.”

“We thank you for kindly respecting our privacy as we celebrate Chloes’ life and mourn our incomparable loss,” they concluded.

According to ABC News, the adviser would start his first semester at the University of Texas autumn after graduation from Kinkaid School this year.

Per outlet, the head of the Kinkaid School, Jonathan Eades, said that Childress always “made room for others to feel safe, valued and brave.”

“She understood what it meant to be part of a society, and more than that, she helped build one,” he said.

Camp Mystic earlier announced on their website That 27 campers and advisors died as a result of the floods.

“Our hearts are broken together with our families who hold out this unthinkable tragedy. We are constantly praying for them,” the statement reads.

“We have been in communication with local and state authorities that tirelessly use extensive resources to search for our missing girls,” the statement continued. “We are deeply grateful for the outflow of support from society, first respondents and officials at all levels.”

At this stage, 10 campers are still not reported.

According to Associated Press and NBC NewsAt least 104 people have died in the floods so far.
