Elton John admits he is “very stressed” because eye conditions affect life with his two sons



Elton John Speaks sincerely about how his health condition affects his role as a father.

In an interview with the British newspaper The timesThe said musician, 78, to have Limited sight in an eye after a “severe” infection has caused him stress while he’s parenting.

“I can’t read. I can’t see my boys play rugby and football, and it’s been a very stressful time, because I’m used to wet everything. It’s worrying,” John said, referring to his two sons – Zachary, 14 and Elijah, 12 – as he shares with husband David Möbler.

“You become emotional, but you have to get used to it, because I’m lucky to have the life I have,” he continued. “I still have my wonderful family, and I can still see something from here.”

John first revealed his vision loss last year and shared in a post on Instagram That it happened after he received an infection.

The infection, he explained further in a later interview with Good morning Americawas maintained when he spent the summer in southern France.

“It went on me, and I can’t see anything. I can’t read anything, I can’t watch anything,” John explained on the broadcast.

The singer songwriter added that his “Left Eye is not the biggest”, but he “took the initiative to try to get better.”

John has been open to his health struggle as he ages in recent years – including how it all binds to him as a father.
