ELON MUSIC responds to the backlash that came after he conducted a controversial hand gesture with president Donald TrumpS inauguration celebration Earlier this year.
“I didn’t see it coming,” said the technical billionaire, 53, and put “not” and “see” together to sound like “Nazi”, about the reaction on the move he did, similar to a Nazi, in an interview at Joe Rogan -the experience Podcast Released on Friday 28 February.
Musk added that “people will go down in everything”, with reference to German Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels. (He previously made the same statement that responded to the backlash in a post on X last month.)
Host Joe Rogan Then said in Musk’s defense, “there are so many examples of people say” my heart goes out to “while I touch a similar gesture”, and added, “you did it with a little enthusiasm that is probably recommended afterwards.”
“It was obviously meant in the most positive spirit as possible,” Musk replied.
Musk, who is currently serving as head of President Trump’s Department of Government’s Efficiency (DODE), later Posted A clip from the interview about X, where he said, “Hopefully, people will realize that I’m not a Nazi.”
“You can’t escape this bull —-” He went on to say, “what is bad with Nazis, it was not their fashion feeling or their way, it was the war and the genocide is the bad part. Not the ways and their dress code.”

Musk made the controversial gesture during Trump’s inauguration celebration, when he talked about a crowd of his followers and said: “This really mattered. And I just want to say thank you for making it happen. Thanks. ”
The CEO then quickly placed his hand over his heart, before giving a greeting at an upward angle, with an emphasis. He turned to participants who sat behind him and repeated the gesture.
“My heart goes out to you,” Musk continued as he placed his hand back over his chest.
Anti-Defamation League, a prominent Jewish rights group, later spoke out to the controversial gesture and wrote on X“Our policy is inflamed, and social media only contributes to the anxiety.”
“It seems that @elon musk made a troublesome gesture in a moment of enthusiasm, not a Nazi greeting, but again we appreciate that people are on edge,” the group added. “At this moment, all sides should give each other a little grace, maybe even the advantage of doubt and take breaths. This is a new beginning. Let’s hope for healing and work towards unit in the coming months and years. ”
