Dylan Efron had a dance-related mishap – but he’s reassuring Dancing with the stars fans that he is ready for his next appearance.
The Betrayer alum, 33, shared a post on Instagram on Saturday, October 25 which included pictures of his recently broken nose – an injury he sustained after his pro partner, Daniella Karagachgave him an accidental elbow to the face.
“Broken my nose, but don’t need it to dance,” Dylan joked in the caption of his post.
The pictures showed the reality TV star sitting in an emergency room chair and holding an ice pack to her face.
“It’s midnight, and I’m in the hospital because Dani broke my nose. We tried another move, and I took an elbow right here,” he said in a video filmed at the hospital, pointing to his broken nose.
“And it made a really loud crack,” Dylan added. “So, not how I wanted to end rehearsal day, but we’re back dancing tomorrow.”
In the caption, Dylan also thanked Karagach, DWTS pro Pasha Pashkov and fellow contestants Danielle Fishel for supporting him after his injury.
“I’m seriously fine – but I’ll never forget how Dani, Pasha and Danielle WON’T leave my side when that happened, warms my heart to have friends like them ❤️,” he wrote.
Other DWTS competitors and pros shared their love and support for Dylan in the comments section.
“Oh em gee,” dance pro Val Chmerkovskiy wrote in a comment, and fellow professionals Mark Ballas added, “I hope you’re ok bro. sending you love.”
“WHAT?!! @dylanefron hope you’re ok,” pro Emma Slater called in.
Competitor Robert Irwin wrote: “What!!!!! Feel better mate.”
“Keep him in line @daniellakaragach,” Surviving alum “Boston” Rob Mariano teased in another comment.

As a nod to his brother Zac Efronboth Dylan and Olivia teamed up and danced to “Rewrite the Stars” from The Greatest Showman (performed by Zac, 38, and Zendaya in the film). The pair twirled on stage before Karagach, 32, stepped in to finish the contemporary routine.
Dylan, Olivia and Karagach’s performance earned them 36/40 from the judges and plenty of praise. Carrie Ann Inaba said Olivia was “incredible” and Dylan “made his night”, while Bruno Tonioli said Olivia had perfectly pointy toes.
“When I first asked (Olivia) if she would do this with me, she buried her head in my chest and said, ‘No, there’s no way,'” Dylan recalled to PEOPLE after the performance. “And then she got to the first week and she told me after she said, ‘I’m thinking about it. Week 2 she said she will do it and she is not afraid of anything. And then she showed up and actually wasn’t afraid of anything.”
Dylan will next appear DWTS for Halloween week, during which he will dance the Viennese Waltz to “Can’t Help Falling in Love (DARK),” a cover of the Elvis Presley song by Tommee Profitt and Brooke.
DWTS airs on Tuesdays at 8 PM ET on ABC and Disney+.
