At Lifetime’s Summer Soirée event, Doug Savant, 61, opened about his time to work with the cult classic and the unexpected connection that led to a lasting friendship with Michael J. Fox64.

“I have such great memories from that movie,” Savant says exclusively. “I grew up in Burbank, California, and I went to school with Philip Mckeon and Nancy McKeon – Nancy McKeon from Life facts and Phil McKeon from Alice. And we were dear friends. ”

At that time, Savant began just his acting career and had not mentioned to his friends that he went into the entertainment industry. In the same way, he did not mention his background to his colleagues. It led to a fun moment on the set involving Fox, which met Nancy at that time.

The surprise connection was quickly revealed when Fox talked to Nancy, which he dated for three years in the mid-1980s, about the project.

“He went home and Nancy asked,“ Who’s in the movie with you? Let me see the call sheet. “And she said,“ Doug Savant?

Savant says he had only worked with the film for about a week when Fox calculated the connection.

“And one day Michael comes at work, he says: ‘Why didn’t you tell me that?’ He was upset at me that I had not told him, ”recalls Savant. “I just wanted to do my job and be professional, but I hadn’t said anything.”

Then Savant says that he and Fox “were quick to be friends and socialize,” notes that they “had a fantastic time” together on set.

While Savant’s role in Teen Wolf Be relatively short, he is proud to have been part of something that still catches the audience’s attention.

“The movie has had a fantastic lifetime and people love it. They made sequels and the reasoned. So I’m just grateful to have been a small part of it,” he shares.
