On Friday, September 5, the Grammy winner, 27, published a series of fun Instagram stories that subtly announced that she bought a new home. Doechii (real name Jaylah Ji’mya Hickmon) did not reveal which city she bought her new home in. She originally comes from Tampa, Florida, but moved to Los Angeles 2019.

Her Instagram stories started with her asking followers, “rating me to say” get out of my house “in my new house.”

The next seven pictures included videos of the rapper who shouted different variations of “Get Out.”

With each post, she added a survey that asked her followers what they think about her various “performances.” Some of the alternatives that she provided followers included: “Needs more passion”, “the world”, “gut changing”, “have urgent but lack accuracy”, “then had me lost me,” “much better but I think you can do a little better” and “stop posting these.”

Although the rapper split several videos of herself in her home, she stayed in her kitchen and showed different parts of it.

The videos share glimpses from her cripple tile backsplash, open shelves for her pots and pans and her modern finish.

The rapper’s latest purchase follows her “transformative” year and arises for fame.

In February she cinched Her first Grammy for best rap album for Alligator pieces never heal at 67th Grammys. Next month she took home the outstanding music artist at 36th Glaad Media Awards.

At the event, she told People that her last year has been “transformatively.”

“Really. All my dreams have become a reality, and I feel that I literally go in a dream,” she said. When asked by people what she would tell doechii five years ago, she replied: “I would say continue, star. You are doing great. Go on.”

She then met 2025 with gala in May, with a Louis Vuitton costume with which she collaborated with Pharrell Williams.

Months later she played on Lollapalooza in Chicago on Saturday August 2, to a packed crowd. There she notified her First headlines tourwhich begins on Tuesday, October 14 in Chicago.
