Oh how the tables have turned in Departure weight Season 2 Final.
Season 1 ended with Mark’s (Adam Scott) Iconically crying heard around the world: “She is alive!” The moment has been referred throughout Apple TV+ Show’s second season. Now we know that Mark’s wife, Gemma (Duchen Lachman), is really alive and hidden in the depths of the biotechnology company Lumon Industries basement, but we leave season 2 and wonder: are: are Highlight Will stay alive?
The Much expected second season of Departure weight Started on January 17 and ended on March 21 after ten episodes that gave the fans a deeper look – after three years of waiting – into what Lumon does, where Gemma is and Mark’s journey to reunite with his beloved.
Each individual in MDR’s plots came to a head in the last 76-minute episode of the season that saw Dylan (Zach Cherry), Helly (Britt Lower) and Mark gathered to seek the answers to the questions they have asked since the beginning of the show: What is at the end of the long dark hall? Where is Gemma, or as they know her, MS Casey? And on a deeper level, what is their innie’s purpose?
Departure weight Uses the last section to ask the latter question at an even more macro level and questions morality and consequences of having two people living in a body – and whether a cut equivalent, an “innie”, is entitled to one’s own life.
Here is Departure weight Season 2 end explained.
Warning: This post contains spoilers from season 2, section 10 of Departure weight.

Section 9 saw Mark’s sister Devon (Jen Tullock) registration of Season 1 enemy, MS Cobel (Patricia Arquette) to help mark with its reintegration and plan to save Gemma. Although he is distrusted with her, Mark agrees to meet Cobel in Birthing House, a lumon place for Innies to give birth so that their excursions do not experience the pain.
When it is inside, Innie Mark comes out and meets Cobel face to face for the first time this season. She instructs him to talk to Outie Mark, which they continue to do through recorded messages in a camera.
While the two are initially revered for their ability to communicate with each other, the conversation quickly becomes acidic when Innie Mark realizes what Outie Mark asks for him: To sacrifice his life and relationship with Helly so that Outie Mark can be reunited with Gemma and put an end to departure as a whole.
The conversation ends with the fact that Outie Mark promises that with reintegration, the two can become one, and Innie Mark reminders that it sounds like it would be more Outie Mark’s life than his and threatens that the next time he wakes up, it is better to be in the elevator at work.
Despite his word, the next day, Innie Mark is back in the office, ready to complete Cold Harbor with Helly’s support. When he hits 100%fog the lights, and suddenly a celebration is released: Milchick (Tramel Tillman) comes in and performs a (rather eccentric) dance together with the choreography and the Merriment team, which is complete with a complete march band.
Meanwhile, Dylan rolls somewhere else from a letter his exit left him, rejected his departure and told him that Innie Dylan’s business with his wife inspired him to become more like his Innie.
The meeting comes to a head when Mark uses the opportunity to escape and follow Irvings (John Turturro) Instructions to find the dark hall that leads him to Gemma/MS. Casey. Helly helps him by locking Milchick in a bathroom, and Dylan shows up at a crucial moment to help Helly keep him in there.

We finally get an answer to the questions that the fans have asked for three years: What is Cold Harbor, the project brand has been working on since we met him?
Cobel peels back the curtain at a crucial moment at the beginning of the section and helped Innie Mark understand the consequences of completing it. She explains that every project brand has ever done has correlated with the various “tempers”, which Lumon describes personality traits and emotions, in GEMMA, and every time he finishes one, a new Innie is born.
But Cold Harbor is the last Innie. When done, Gemma will be killed when the experiment is complete.
Although it is unclear what the experiment is (how far can you share a person, maybe?), Do we know what happens when Mark finally completed it: Gemma is asked to put on the clothes she wore the last time she saw land before she was probably kidnapped and enters the last room and was a cold harbor.
In it, her latest Innie comes to life and is a completely empty slate. She is invited to disassemble a crib standing in the middle of the room, and while she seems to have an emotional answer to it, she does as she has asked without questions or retortes.
Like Eagan and other managers at the company Watch On, it seems that Cold Harbor was a success: Gemma does not seem to have any reminder about why the crib would trigger for her, but as viewers know, cried Gemma earlier in the kitchen when she heard ground taking a crib after many unsuccessful attempts to become a child.

After several attempts, Mark, like Hans Outie, finally comes to the floor where Gemma lives. He enters the cold harbor room and marks the first reunion we see between the couple, although Gemma does not recognize him in her Innie form.
Appropriately persuades Mark Gemma to leave with him and when she does, the two are reunited as man and wife, both their excursions. But their misery is not over.
To leave, Mark and Gemma must return to the cut floor where Gemma will again not know who he is, like her Ms. Casey -Persona will return, and Mark will have a decision to make: leave with Gemma and fulfill Outie Mark’s wishes or, stay with Helly – but they can both die if they do.
After successfully getting Gemma out through the emergency door, where her Outie returns to her, Mark locks her out while he stands in the hall and decides whether to stay or walk. Helly shows up suddenly at the end of the corridor, and even though they previously said their goodbye, Mark’s love for her is tested.
In the end, Mark decides to stop, and the section ends with him and Helly holds his hand and runs through the halls in Lumon’s cut floors together. At the same time, Outie Gemma quarrels outside the door and begs land to return to her.
Since Outie Mark’s plan was to reveal to the world as the horror that took place at Lumon, Innies already realized that their time alive would end because they could not exist outside the office. So does this mean this is the end of ground? Will Innie Mark never leave Lumon to preserve his relationship with Helly? Will Outie Mark kill Innie Mark anyway and reunite with Gemma? These questions are left unanswered … at the moment.

Irving’s story apparently ends in the Season 2 final after Hans Innie has probably been erased in section 4. After eating dinner at Burt’s (Christopher Walken) At home, where the retired Lumon employment apparently referred to his outie who also worked for the company, he is met by his former lover at his own home.
However, the meeting is more ominous – Burt has discovered Irving’s notes around Lumon employees that he looked at. He asks Irving to go with him for a car trip, but it is clear that he has more abominable intentions.
During his ride, Burt reveals that Hans Outie’s job was to do exactly what he did at that moment: take people Lumon sentenced to death for a car trip, drop them in one place and not ask further questions.
But he doesn’t seem to be able to do it with Irving, knowing that their Innies were in a relationship. Instead, he takes Irving to the train station where he buys him a ticket to the longest destination as possible. Irving tells Burt that he is ready to live his true self and have love, but Burt denies him. Burt leaves and Irving looks ready to get on the train – and that’s the last thing we see of him.
At the same time, Helly and Dylan work overtime at Lumon and try to prevent Milchick from stopping land. Although Dylan is depressed to lose the life he got this season – from meetings with his wife to more knowledge about his children – he recommends himself to help his friends.
Helly, on the other hand, rolls from her meeting with her outie’s father and accepts that she and Mark cannot continue to have a relationship because, as she puts it, “I am her”, refer to her outie, Helena Eagan.
At the end of the section, however, she may have renewed the hope when she and Mark drive hand in hand.

One question – what do they do with all these goats? – is finally answered in the season finale.
In one scene, Mr. Drummond (Ólafur Darri Ólafsson), an CEO at Lumon, with Lorne (Gwendoline Christie) to sacrifice a goat. Dremblling, Lorne asks how many more baby goats will need to be killed, to which Drummond answers as many as needed.
Mark interrupts the moment when he tries to break in to find the elevator he should take, which is when Drummond attacks him. When he suffocates him, ground is rescued by a lively Lorne, who almost kills Drummond himself.
But in the moment that raises another question: why are Do they do it with the goats?
