Derek Hough says it’s an “glory” because he’s named new host for “extra”

Derek Hough can add something new to his resume.

Ballroom Dancer, 40, joins Extra As host for its upcoming 32nd season, which premieres September 8th.

Hough will join long correspondent Terri Seymour and senior correspondent and weekend host Mona Kosar Abdi for the new season.

In a statement, he expressed his excitement over taking on the brand new role.

The news of his new role comes weeks after he and his wife revealed that they expect their first child together.
