Deputy pulls over the driver on the way to the funeral. His response will be viral

A Louisiana -Sheriff’s deputy gets attention after he stopped a driver to speed, just to learn that the man would go to a funeral. So vice helped him with his tie.

Deputy Dustin Byers recently drew the named driver at Highway 21 in St. Tammany parish, St Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook on Sunday, June 22.

“The man explained that he was on his way to a funeral and had a tough day,” the authorities said. “To refill it, he couldn’t get his tie right.”

Byers did not hesitate to help the man. In an image shared by the sheriff’s office, the deputy can be seen as binding the other man’s tie on the side of the road.

“Reminder: compassion still exists, even on the side of the road,” officials continued.

The post, entitled “A traffic stop comes with a page of compassion”, has been shared more than 2,000 times from Wednesday, June 25. Many who looked at the story appreciated the thought -provoking action, although some wondered if the driver got a ticket. When contacted by people, St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office that the man received a quick citation and declined to give further comments.

“This right here is a powerful reminder that kindness is not aware of any uniform, no mark and no boundaries,” wrote a Facebook user in response to the viral post. “In a moment that could simply be about a traffic stop, Deputy Byer’s compassion – transformation of frustration into dignity and stress in support.

“It is the little gestures that leave the biggest impact. Thank you, vice villages, for showing that humanity still lives on the road, in a helping hand and in a bound knot,” the woman continued. “May we all strive to lead with empathy, regardless of circumstance.”
