Dawn Robinson, a former member of R&B Girl Group VogueTold the fans in a new Youtube video that she is homeless has lived in her car for the past three years.
“You, the last three years, I have lived in my car,” said Robinson, 58, on Tuesday, March 11 video before sighing with relief. “I said that, oh my gosh, it’s out.”
The singer explained that she lived with her parents in Las Vegas in 2020. But after a while she decided to move out. She moved to Los Angeles after her former manager’s proposal. He suggested that she could stay with him a bit, but it didn’t work, and she stayed in a hotel for eight months.
When she stayed at the hotel, it became difficult to find an apartment because the manager is said to “play games” and would reject the places Robinson suggested that she could live. “Sometimes people want to catch you and keep you in a situation where you are vulnerable and depending on them,” she said about their dynamics. “So I got out of there.”

That’s when Robinson began to investigate “Billiv” and “Loved what (she) saw.” She quickly decided to take the leap, and now it has been three years since she started her “Billiv” and went against Malibu, Calif.
“I felt free,” she said about her decision. “I felt I was on a camping trip. It felt like it was the right thing to do. ”
The musician repeated to the viewers that she does not share this experience to get a sin.
“It’s not” woe I’m, “she said.” I learn about who I am. I teach myself as a person as a woman. ”
“I miss my family. I miss everyone I was connected to. But I needed to do it alone … but I needed to do it for me,” she said before she revealed that her dog Max went away in the car. She “is really on (her) own.”

She ended the video by telling the viewers that she would have an apartment if she could, but she is “absolutely” glad she did this. “I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished here.”
“Be spontaneous,” she said. “Make it scary. F — fear. ”

Robinson was one of the founding members of four-members Girl Group a Vogue, along with Cindy Herron, Terry Ellis and Maxine Jones. The group was formed in 1989 and released its debut album, Born to singThe following year. Robinson sang especially the main song on “My Lovin” (you will never get it) “,” “Give him something he can feel” and “release your mind.”
A Vogue received six Grammy nominations between 1991 and 1997.
Robinson left the group in March 1997 and signed with Dr. Dres label, aftermath. She joined again in Vogue for short Stints 2005 and 2009. Robinson also acted in several films and was part of the first season of R&B Divas: Los Angeles.
