You’ve heard of a Super Bowl -Pool, but recently coined Grandpa Kevin Cronin organized something even better: a baby pool.
Baby Pool Tradition started in is the family in 1993 when Crown And his wife, Diane Cronin, wanted a fun way to tell their parents that they had a child – and it got stuck.
“My wife and I have four children. I made a baby pool for all four,” Kevin, 58, shares with people. For every baby pool, friends and family had to guess the child’s gender and when they were born.
The couple also expanded the invitation to people outside their family, such as Kevin’s colleagues.
“It’s a cool way to engage everyone for when I worked in an office then, and every day people would come to my office to see if they won,” Kevin adds. “Everyone was interested in the child and wanted to win.” The original baby pool in 1993 had a purchase of $ 5 and paid out about $ 300 to the winner.
In front of her daughter’s due date, Kevin returned to the Baby Pool tradition after 20 years, since his youngest son was born in 2005. But they have since made it a little more challenging by adding guesses for height, weight and time of day.
One of Kevin’s daughters, Alyssa, shared a video on Tiktok by Kevin that coordinated the baby pool, which went viral and collected 8.8 million views. IN videoHe divided a paper into four categories: date, time, height and weight. They omitted the section for sex because the couple already knew they had a girl.
He then called various family members to get their thoughts. One of the sentences, Kevin’s son, appreciated funny that the child would be born just over 2 meters high, which got laughter from the Father-Dotter duo.
Kevin is a viral sensation known as Kickball Dad, a nickname given after voluntary work to replace coaches for Alyssa’s Kickball League 2022.

But KickBall -Dad may have started a movement when thousands of comments chimped in what their submissions of baby pool would be. Many also said that they would implement baby pools in their families.
Unlike in recent years, there is no fixed prize for this year’s winner, but Kevin is thinking about getting a gift card for a baby shop, so newborn harvests the benefits of bet. “We are still calculating it,” he says. “The price awaits.”
“The price is honor,” jokes Alyssa.
With the arrival of a child for the family, Kickball is now Kickball Grandfather, as his daughter Michelle, 31, welcomed a daughter.
The latest family member, Chloe Marie Mcevoy, was born at 02:45 on Monday 21 April and secured the victory for Kickball -Dad. The little one weighed at 9 pounds 1 oz. And measured 20 inches, which is predicted by Kevin himself, who was the victory for the baby pool.
