Two large, Scary characters has been removed from a bridge in Pennsylvania.

The signs appeared over a bridge in seven valleys around the weekend of August 9, according to NBC Affiliate Wgal8. Both characters contained a picture of Billy Puppet from the iconic Horror franchise SAWTogether with the phrases “maybe you fit, you might not come” and “Let’s play a game.”

The caption appeared to be a reference to the fact that a number of trucks and high vehicles have accidentally hit the transition – which measures 11 feet, 1 inch high – in recent months, according to the outlet.

“The signs, which were placed on the bridge illegally, have since been removed,” Brett Marcy, a spokesman for York County, said in a statement to Wgal8.

He added that the bridge in question has “been beaten six times since June 6” and also said that the county “continues to explore alternatives with stakeholders to improve safety at the bridge and support efforts to raise awareness of security with low bridge height.”

Greg Mussmacher, a local resident who runs at the bridge every day, told Wgal8 that he was “stunned” to see the characters, but he was also “a little disappointed” to discover that they had been taken down.

“I wasn’t sorry, but I was a little disappointed. (…) Because it does – I think it helps. To make people notice, if it is funny or satirical“He said.” I have actually been there before when the truck was stuck on the way to work, and there is no easy way to get around it. “

“I don’t know why people complain about the sign,” resident Dee Neal told the outlet. “They (driver) cannot read (the) 11-foot, an inch (road sign), but they could see it (SAW) character, ”

“I mean, it was distracting, but they need something to distract people from just running through there,” Neal added.

Dave Thompson, Social Relations Coordinator with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (Penndot), told People that a stop sign was recently installed near the bridge in the hope that drivers would note the bridge’s height restriction and are rounded accordingly.

“Penndot’s latest effort was to install a stop sign on the eastbound method to better regulate traffic through the downfall,” says Thompson.

“Another advantage of the stop sign is to try to give motorists, especially those who drive over -height vehicles, further opportunities to recognize and correctly respond to height distance signs,” he adds.

People were enough for the seven local authorities for the comment on Thursday, August 14, but did not receive an immediate response.
