Costco problems are reminiscent of multiple articles, including some to stop using “immediately”

Costco has issued recalls for several products.

Among the articles revoked by the warehouse club’s membership are air conditioners, dumbbells, power banks and tires.

Customers who bought one Danby Brand U-shaped window air conditioner between June 10, 2021 and February 2, 2022 or one Midea brand U-shaped window air conditioner Between June 2021 and May 2025 are warned to stop using the units “immediately”, as they “pose a risk of mold growth.”

Growth is due to “pool -lat water in the air conditioner” which does not drain “quickly enough”, the reminders said.

Consumers who want to repair their device can get a technician to do so, or they can be sent a free repair kit containing a new drainage plug and bubble level, depending on the model. They may also receive a complete or negotiated refund, based on the date of purchase or date of the device’s manufacture.

Various Anchor power banks – which provides portable charging – has been recalled, as they “can be overheated, which is a potential fire safety risk”, which “can lead to melting of plastic components, smoke or fire”, according to the recall. The affected articles were sold between June. 1, 2016 and December, 31, 2022.

As for tires, Bridgestone Blazzak 6 Tires and Michelin Agilis Crossclimate C-metric tires have both been recalled.

Bridgestone tires, which were only sold as a replacement, “do not carry the DOT certification symbol on the tire’s side walls and therefore do not meet the tire marking requirements in federal motor vehicle safety standard 139.” The Michelin tires, for its part, also do not meet the tire marking requirements and are recalled as “pieces of wear gum can be released from the shoulder block.”

Bowflex 552 Adjustable Dumbbells Also revoked by Costco “due to reports that the weight plates may be released from the handle during use, which is an impact.”
