Five were shot and injured in a mass shooting at Brass Mill Center in Waterbury, Conn. Tuesday, May 27th.
A person of interest is now in custody, according to police. His identity has not been released, but the authorities said earlier that they think he is a man in the early 20th century. Waterbury Police Department (WPD) says Skytte started about 16:40, which got a shopping center and immediately police response, per WABC.
All five victims were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. No one has fatal injuries, but some are considered serious according to WPD.
People were enough for WPD for further comments, but did not immediately belong back.

“We believe this started as a conflict and the escalated,” WPD manager Fernando Spagnolo said in a press conference. “We know there was a gunman right now … armed with a semi -automatic gun.”
Connecticut Gov. Down Lamont called the event a “tragic mass shooter”, per NBC Connecticut.
“We are grateful for law enforcement, which acted quickly,” Lamont said. “Our hearts are breaking for the Waterbury community, the victims and their families who have been affected by this incident.”
The authorities have recovered objects in connection with the shooter and the firearm used to commit shooting, which has been sent for forensic tests, Per Wabc.

The mall was closed to the public, and federal organizations help with the investigation.
The five victims for shooting have not yet been identified in public. Anyone with additional information about the suspect is encouraged to contact WPD.
