College Football Player Todric McGee Dead at 21 from ‘accidentally self -destroyed gunshot wound’



A football player in college in Missouri has died after suffering a gunshot wound that the authorities said may have been “unintentional” and “self -destroyed.” He was 21.

Todric McGee, a security for Missouri State Bears, died on Saturday, April 19, after he was in hospital last day for injuries he suffered “his local residence,” said Missouri State University (MSU) Athletics Communications in a News notice.

The athlete’s season 2024 ended after he got an injury during the fifth match of the season, Springfield News-Lader reported.

Patrick Ransdell, head of athletics at MSU, also shared a statement. “At the university and our entire department, we want to express our condolences to Todric’s family, friends and teammates,” he said.

“This tragedy has shaken our football program to Kärnan,” continued Ransdell, “and we want them to know that we are here to support them in every way at this extremely difficult time.”

McGee’s Alma Mater, Wichita Northwest High School, also honored him after his death.

The school’s football team wrote April 19, April 19, “I am heart -broken to share this but Todric McGee died last night! Keep his mother Stephanie and sister Tahlia in your thoughts and prayers as well as the many families and friends he had.”
