Christine Brown says Kody insisted on wives baring makeup

Kody Brown had expectations of his wife’s appearance as he expected them to meet, according to his ex Christine Brown!

On April 20 in the middle of the season premiere of TLC’s Sister womenChristine entered a length outing with husband David Woolley to assist Janelle Brown Move to North Carolina, where the 55-year-old will now live with daughter Madison “Maddie” brush.

During her driving, Christine, 53, spoke with David about the underlying expectations Kody, 56, once had himself and other sister women Janelle, Meri Brown and Robyn Brown.

“He liked makeup. It was like, you always had to, always look good,” Christine said. “We would go camping and Janelle and I would sit there and turn off our butts and get breakfast, clean up the mess and frankly, Robyn would make his makeup forever and make our children’s hair and make their hair and make sure everyone looked good.”

“And then Kody would sit there and praise what they looked like when we had sweated and slapped over the freaking food and cleaned up the campsite. I think that’s probably the reason I hated camping so badly,” she explained.

Christine, who was the first to leave Kody in 2021 before Janelle and Meri followed, noted to David that cases like this happened “so many times in my marriage.” To this, David expressed that this behavior from Kody was “really shallow.”

When he looked back at that time, Janelle told the cameras that “Christine was very upset all over (the situation there) Robyn was about to make up, whatever.”

But Janelle had a different view of everything and said, “I was just like, yes, it’s annoying, but I will still have fun here.”

Robyn also saw the special camping situation differently. “Once we went camping, I was pregnant six months and I got sick a lot,” she reminded in a confession.

“I spent the night bareful my intestines outside my tent on my hands and knees,” she continued. “And then, you know, Janelle and Christine made breakfast and I was just trying to hurry and get ready for the day.”

But Meri saw the situation in the same way as Christine and guaranteed how Kody cared deeply about her wives.

“Kody has always wanted people around him to look good,” said Meri, 54. “I remember when he and I first met, he would take me out and buy clothes because he wanted me to look good. As I said, I never really felt that way.”

From there Christine told the cameras how Kody “put pressure on me to look good, or to make sure my hair was done, or to make sure my makeup was on,” added, “no wonder I was constantly wondering and constantly uncertain because as much as I compared, he also compared all the time.”

Christine also claimed that Robyn “was on this pedestal and the rest of us only missed,” noted that she personally felt that she “lacked the relationship.”

When it comes to Kody’s perspective on everything, “it never felt like I was not in the dog house with anyone,” he shared with the cameras.

Robyn now remains Kody’s only wife after Christine, Janelle and Meri left him within a period of time. The present season of Sister women Shows how the brown family continues to navigate life after the passing of their once happy polygam tribe.
