Good Chris Burney Don’t need your toes to play guitar.
The former bowling for soup guitarist took to Instagram On February 19 and revealed that he dropped two toes on his left foot.
“I’m a free nubbin, butt-trubbin son of a gun,” wrote the 55-year-old musician along with a photo of the foot with big toe and other toe missing. He also shared a photo of his dog as well as a selfie with his tongue.
On June 13, Burney pulled out of a bowling for soup performance in Italy when the band revealed in a Instagram Post that he was “taken to the hospital” and sought both “positive vibes and integrity.”
Later that month he took to the social media platform and Shared a photo of a t-shirt printed with a photo of a cut toe on a tombstone along the phrase “away but never forgot.” He also published a photo of his bandaged foot.

The following month he split a Photo of his foot without a bandage and revealed his missing big toe. At that time, however, his second toe was still intact.
In January, Bowling for soup announced Burney’s pension In a heartfelt Instagram post. “It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Chris Burney has made the decision to retire from his stage-right post in the band he founded in 1994,” wrote the group.
“Some recent medical developments, 30 years of swinging balls and the tournament of Non-Stop have made it difficult to continue,” the band added. “We are bumped not to have Chris on our pages, but definitely supports his decision.”

Bowling for soup ensured the fans group’s future “remains light”, with the long -term singer Jaret Reddick who continues to perform with Gary Wiseman and Rob Felicetti. “We three will continue, with Chris’s blessing, and continue to build the inheritance from this band that we all love so much,” they wrote.
The band revealed that Chris would not be replaced with a new guitarist. “You can’t replace a legend,” the statement continued. “We were brothers when we started this journey … and the brothers left.”
