Gabi -Butler have no regret about their time at Battle Camp.
The Hurray Star was one of the Frontrunnarna on Netflix’s new reality competition series, but unfortunately saw her time on the show come to an unexpected ending in section 4 when the wheel landed on her name, even though it was only up there once.
“I think everyone was shocked,” Gabi tells People about the fateful spin. “However, it is strange, because I had this very strange intuition that it would somehow land on me. I don’t know how, I just had this strange feeling.”
Before the elimination ceremony, Gabi’s team, the wolves, lost the Daily Group Challenge. This landed her as well as Bri Balram (Too hot to handle), Louis Russell (Too hot to handle) and Trey Plutnicki (Squid Game: The Challenge), on the steering wheel. Gabi was then selected as one of three people to compete in the penalty, but she ended up winning the challenge and effectively held her name from being added further. Finally, when it was time for the camp, Gabi got no one from his colleagues – but still things did not work to her advantage.
“When I look back at it, I think I went out was on a victory of a penalty,” she says. “I was upset. I won’t lie. I was a bit bummed – yes, very bummed. I was like,” Dang, I really thought I could go further. “I expected to go further. But obviously the spin was just a real, really bad luck.”

Despite this, Gabi felt proud of how she went out. “I did everything I could have done – yes, in my control I did everything I could have done,” she says. “I had a fantastic team. I met many amazing people within the time I was there. There was just no better way to go out. I won a penalty. I didn’t have votes. So I’m like, if there was a way, then I’m okay with it.”
In addition to dominating the challenges, Gabi also developed a bit of a flirtatious relationship with Costar Tony Castellanos (Mole). Gabi was in advance on the show about her intentions with Tony and noted that she had a boyfriend at that time but would flirt with him if that meant he prevented voting against her. (She even voted for him the night she was eliminated.)
But after the wheel landed on Gabi and sent her home, Tony was ruined and broke into tears. He continued to cry even after Gabi left, upset about how things played out.
On the question of things ever panned with Tony, Gabi tells people that his words did not really match his actions and they never explored things further.
“When it comes to my situation with Tony, I was in a relationship on the show and I told him,” Hi, I have a boyfriend, “several times. The man didn’t care. He was like,” I shoot my shot regardless. “He’s like,“ I don’t see a ring on your finger. “I’m like,“ No, this guy just loves bombing me. “

But four months ago Gabi shared from his then boyfriend. “This is what is confusing about Tony,” she says. “He’s like,” Oh, the other one you are single, I come after you, 100%. “This man follows me a few months ago. But yes, I got really close to Tony on the show.”
“I told him once, I was joking, but I was like,” Yes, if things don’t work with my boyfriend and I, “As I didn’t expect it to happen, I was like,” Then I call you, “she adds, before you joked,” you have to keep him on your side. Must do what you had to do! “
Now that everyone Combat camp Section is out for the world to see, Gabi says she is excited for her Hurray Family – including previous coaches Monica Aldama – Seeing her compete at the show.
“Monica was actually enough for me when she saw this thing come out. She’s like,” Oh, I know, I know you already killed it. I don’t even have to look at it to know, “she says.” I was like, “girl … you have no idea what’s going to happen. I won’t ruin it for you.” But I am, “I hope I would make you proud.” I did the best I could. ”

She is also grateful for them to help her compete as well as she did – and would love to jump on the chance to do the show again.
“I, personally, I know that everyone is different and connected a little differently, but I have a dog mentality. I will not end until I come (to) where I want to go. So let’s say the goal is here, I take it two steps forward,” she says.
“I will give a big cry to Monica and even some of my other coaches who had the opportunity to shape me into the athlete as I am,” she adds. “I would drive it back with the same people who were on it (this season). I would do it again.”
