Two bodies of two people recovered from a sinking boat in Washington State possession sound after they were declared missing Wednesday 21 May, according to Kiro 7The My northwest and Herald network.
Everett Police Department (EPD) found the boat’s owner, a man in the 60s, and his co-workers, a woman in the 40s, on Saturday 31 May. The boat owner’s son, a man in the 20th century, is still missing and assumed drowned. None of the boats’ identities have been revealed publicly.
Four passengers were on board when 26-foot boat dropped on Wednesday, May 21, about 13:00 local time. The EPD began to receive calls about the sinking ship, which was about 200 meters from the possession sound beach. Possession sound is 29 km northwest of Seattle.
“People were only out on recreational shrimp, and the person reported that the boat began to take on water,” EPD told Natalie to Kiro 7. “But what specifically caused this is still under investigation.”
When the boat began to sink, another boat master could save one of the four passengers, a man in the 50s. The man was reportedly unharmed and was later evaluated in a hospital.

EPD located the boat the next day, Thursday 22 May. It was found about 165 feet below the water surface and placed up and down. The marine device then created a recovery plan that the non-profit innerspace exploration team helped to implement.
The EPD and InnerSpace Exploration team worked with the US Coast Guard, Everett Fire Department and utilized a helicopter, rescue boats, drones, fire rescue swimmers and land-based team for the search.
The search has “taken a measure of comfort to the mourning family by recovering two of the three missing individuals from the tragic incident in the possession sound,” said EPD Chief John Derousse, Per Kiro 7. “While we continue to hope for the recovery of the third, we expand our commitment to all the challenges
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office determines the cause and way of the two deaths.
