In the evening on Sunday, June 15, two boats in Bayou Sara collided near Saraland, which caused 27-year-old Brittney Sherman to fall overboard and injure 30-year-old Cody Sherman and a 4-year-old boy, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (Alea) said in a statement shared with people. The injured parties, which were later revealed to be the woman’s husband and son, were hospitalized.

It was not until just before 11 o’clock the next day that Brittney’s body was found 100 meters where she fell into the water after a hour long, multi-agency search, says officials.
