The 2025 Bet Awards Drew out all stops for the 25th anniversary.

Worthy of Kevin HartThis year’s edition of the Bet Awards contained spotted performances, beloved Throwbacks and gripping tributes to legends earlier and present. Throughout the night the show held the party with memorable comic pieces from Hart, nostalgic moments to celebrate 25 years and Powerhouse -song from artists as Jennfier HudsonThe Leon Thomas III And more.

Busta rhymes Was the brilliant star in the Bet Award’s red carpet – literally. The rapper looked Dapper in a classic black and white tux with a jewelery brooch on the lapes. On his gloves he sported a massive cross parks, and he improved the lux to the max with some bone jams in his coat pocket.

After winning the best female hip hop artist, her first venture, Doechii turned attention to Los Angeles protests in her acceptance number.

“As much as I am honored by this award, I want to deal with what is happening right now outside the building,” she began after showing appreciation of the ceremony and her nominees with. “There are ruthless attacks that create fear and chaos in our communities in the name of law and order.”

The rapper ended, to the audience’s applause: “We deserve everyone to live in hope and not in fear, and I hope we stand together, my brothers and my sisters, against hatred and we protest against it. Thanks, bet.”

Two rising stars on the lists, Leon Thomas III and Ravyn Lenaelit up the stages stage with their viral songs “mutt” and “Love me not.” The Victorious Alun – who won the best new artist later at night – sang his face while ripping his electric guitar to his R&B clip, currently on a top # 13 Message board Hot 100. Then Lenae enchanted the audience with an ethereal performance of her dreamy hit that will surely get stuck in your head after listening.

Stevie Wonder‘S has jokes! The iconic musician gave a heartfelt speech to preview the close friend Jamie Foxx’s Ultimate Icon Award. To round the introduction, he referred to a cheeky reference to his blindness before the retrospective video was played.

“To be clear, I spent tireless hours watching and editing the pictures for this tribute tonight. So be attentive and enjoy,” said the singer writer.

At the top of Wonder’s special appearance, Foxx was honored with a medley performance with LudacrisThe Jennifer HudsonThe T-person And more. Ultimate Icon Award Honoree became visibly emotional when he looked in the audience, and he continued to accept honor With an equally moving (and humorous) speech. He talked about his hospital stay in 2023, thanked his community and family and even asked for Kirk Franklin’s training routine.

“I won’t reject. I won’t stop crying,” the actor said. “At a certain point in time I will stop crying, but I won’t end yet.”

Although he was planned for three and a half hours, the bet award went one hour and 15 minutes earlier schedule.

We love a grand anniversary, and we love to celebrate legends and the best of the best. But no awards must be so long. We could have cut down one of the extended pieces, such as Harts Usher-Cosplay, or this year’s sketch, or this year’s sketch, or Kai Cenat And Druski jumps up and down on stage with Hart for a good couple of minutes before introducing Playboi Carti.
