At least three people have died and eight others are injured after a shooting at a New York City restaurant.
About 3:30 at Local Time on Sunday, August 17, police received several 911 calls about a shooting event at Taste of the City Lounge at 903 Franklin Avenue in Brooklyn, the New York Police Department (NYPD) announced in a press conference.
The shooting victims identified by officers on the site included eight men and three women between 27 and 61, says NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tish at the conference.
Of the 11 victims, a 27-year-old man, a 35-year-old man and a third man at an unknown age of his injuries. The eight remaining victims were sent to local hospitals. Their conditions remain unknown right now.

The police suspect that several shooters were involved in the incident. Detective investigates CCTV images from the site to determine those involved in the event.

At least 36 shell casings were discovered in the restaurant in the middle of the police investigation, Tish said at the NYPD press conference. Detectives also recovered a firearm near Bedford Avenue and Eastern Parkway and investigate whether it was used in the incident.
No one has been taken into custody at this time.

“We have the lowest number of shooting incidents and shooting victim seven months into the year we have seen on records in the city of New York,” Tisch said at the news conference. “Something like this is, of course, thank God, an anomaly and it is a terrible thing that has happened this morning.”
