Ashley Greene Sends Daughter, 3, Letters To Look Back On As She Gets Older (Exclusive)

Ashley Greene has found a special way to preserve memories for his young daughter.

While chatting exclusively with PEOPLE at the Clarins x V Magazine Golden Hour Event during F1 weekend in Austin, Texas on October 18, Dusk star, 38, revealed she sends letters to an email address she created for her daughter, 3 Kingsley Rainn.

“The most recent one was that everyone who meets you says you have the biggest personality, which I just love so much because I was a really shy kid,” Greene says.

She went on to share some of her daughter’s unique personality traits.

“She’s so true to herself, and I think a lot of that she gets from her dad,” says the actress, referring to her entrepreneur husband Paul Khourywho she married in 2018. “But she’s so funny, man. And she knows 1,000% what she wants and how to get it. And I think that’s so beautiful… If I can continue to tap into that, but keep her kindness, I think she’ll be set for success.”

Greene also revealed the 3-year-old’s Halloween plans.

“This will give you insight into my child. She wants to be Gargamel. I thought, ‘Okay, cool, Smurfs. What do you want to be? Do you want to get fat? And she said, “No, I want to be Gargamel.” So I had to make a costume for her,” Greene tells PEOPLE.

The Some other woman star says her and Khoury’s “old traditions are gone” as the couple embraces new holiday traditions with Kingsley. And that includes getting a very early start on the Christmas spirit.

“This is the first year she’s really into all the holidays, so she’s super excited about Halloween and she’s super excited about Christmas. Our tradition right now is that I sing her Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer every night, says Greene. “She loves it. Literally, in the middle of summer, it’s Rudolph.”

Greene often shares glimpses of her family life on social media. Last month she posted a series of photos from Kingsley’s Super Mario Bros.themed third birthday party. Festivities included outdoor games, cake and an appearance by the characters Mario and Luigi.

“Our baby girl is a TRE-REX! A beautiful celebration for a beautiful little soul. ❤️,” Greene wrote Instagram posts.

Over the summer, the family took a trip to Amsterdam, and Greene shared several highlights of their experience in the Dutch city, which included a scenic boat ride through the canals.

Alongside black and white pictures of the trio cuddling on the boat together – with Kingsley wrapped in a blanket to keep warm – Green wrote: “Amsterdam holds a special place in my heart. We took a boat ride from our hotel @pulitzer.amsterdam (which I’m obsessed with) and it was magical. 💫 Just perfect.”

In another postGreene shared photos of himself, Khoury and Kingsley exploring the sights, sampling some local food and even having a little tea party. She said she was “already planning my return” to Amsterdam after such a memorable family trip.
