Arkansa’s officials are looking for a former police chief who is convicted of murder and rape who fled from prison in a provisional legislative uniform.
Grant Hardin, 56, which has been held at North Central Unit in Calico Rock, Ark., Since 2017, from the prison fled around 15:40 on Sunday 25 May, according to one statement from Arkansas Department of Corrections.
Hardin served a 30-year-old sentence for the first degree murder and a further penalty for rape, according to the statement. He was the former police chief of the city of Gateway. Prisoners Show Hardin is 6 feet long and weighs 259 kg.
While officials investigate what led to Hardin’s escape, Doc said in an update on Sunday evening that he was wearing “a provisional outfit designed to mimic law enforcement.” Officials confirmed that he did not wear a DOC uniform and said that all DOC-set equipment had been reported.

Stone County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that Hardin should be considered “extremely dangerous and should not be contacted.”
Hardin invoked guilty in 2017 for murdering after killing 59-year-old James Appleton, who worked in the city of Gateway’s Water Department, according to an commitment quoted CBS newsThe 5newsand New York Times.
Affidaviten says Hardin murdered Appleton in February 2017 after pulling up to his parked car and shooting him through the window while the victim was on the phone, the Times reported. A motive remains unknown.

While serving his 30-year murder sentence, Hardin also relied on the rape of an elementary school teacher in 1997 in Rogers, Ark., 5 News reported. Hardin was tied to the long -unsublished crime after the authorities linked him to DNA taken from the victim’s clothes, the authorities said, according to the outlet.
According to the authorities, the victim said Hardin pointed a gun at her and raped her after she left the school toilet, Times reported.
Hardin’s place of residence remains unknown from 23:30 on Sunday. The authorities have not yet left an update in the morning Monday 26 May. Everyone with information about Hardin is asked to call 911 immediately.
