Aloe Blacc looking back with nothing but preference for his friendship and work relationship with Avicii.
The singer, 46, who praised provided the mans at the late DJ’s 2013 -Cross Hit “Wake me,” told people exclusively on the red carpet on Opry 100: A living celebration Events in Nashville on March 19, which he was able to take up remarkable artistic traits from his time around the producer, who was born Tim Bergling, including the value of “Dedication to Craft.”
“I remember we were in Miami, and he had to DJ at a party, and there was a huge entourage, but he couldn’t care less,” Blacc reminded. “It wasn’t his entourage, it was like Hangers-on, the leadership’s friends. I was there … I was invited, I just looked at him, and he sat in a corner, and he just put on his headphones. He just worked on his set.”
“He was not there to be at the party and partying with people,” the artist continued. “He was there to deliver what he would deliver to the party. And I thought it was really special, especially to be in the studio with him … (to see his) commitment to his crafts, focus on melodies and never let enough be enough and keep the intensity up and push for a better and better.”

Also known for other chart-tip dance music hits such as “levels” and “sunshine”, Avicii’s star was tragically cut card When superstar DJ died of suicide at just 28 years old while he vacation in Oman in April 2018.
After Avicii’s death, Blacc divided a tribute to X. “My heartfelt condolences to Tim’s family and close friends. I can’t express how deeply sad I am. Meeting him changed my life. He was an incredibly talented person and it makes so bad that he is gone,” he wrote at that time.
2019 Blacc participated in Avicii Tribute Concertwhich celebrated the life and music of the legendary producer live from Friends Arena in Stockholm, with over 50,000 fans attended.

Now, Blacc is looking to recontextualize the duo’s iconic hit and pay tribute to his late friend again with a Fully landed reproduction by “Wake me up”, along with Cooper Alan, which was released in December 2024.
“We wrote a song together … wrote a couple of songs,” Blacc told People about knocking on Alan, 29, for the special reworking of Hans and Aviciis here. “And then he was like,” what if we interpret “wake me up?” It has a country feeling, for sure. ”
