The White House reportedly asked if Zelenskyy will carry a suit this time
Right now
Since Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022, Zelenskyy has made public performances in military -style uniforms to pay attention to the difficult circumstances that his country faces.
Although Zelenskyy dressed in the White House during the Biden administration without problems, Maga Republicans have interpreted his pointed styling as a sign of respect since Trump took office in January.
Some blamed Zelenskyy’s uniform as catalyst for Trump and Vance’s anger at their former Oval Office meeting in February, and Axios Quoted two sources on Monday morning that said that this time the White House checked in with Ukrainian officials to ask if Zelesskky would come into more formal wear this time.
A Trump adviser told Axios that “it would be a good sign for peace” if Zeleskyny wore a suit for his meeting with Trump on Monday, but added that they do not “expect” him to do so.
In the end, Zelenskyy landed on a middle ground that continues to honor the difficulty of the Ukrainian people but definitely looks more formal than their last white house visit.
“This time, the president (Zelenskyny) will be in suit, but the style is still in a military key with the same symbolism: he is the head of state, who is at war,” said Elvira Gasanova, a Ukrainian business woman and Zenskyy -designer, according to Politician.

During Zelenskyy’s latest visit to the White House on February 28, the United States planned to sign a natural resource agreement with Ukraine and make progress when it comes to negotiating a peace agreement.
The meeting was then quickly transformed into a humiliating confrontation, with Trump and Vance who told the Ukrainian president when Vance accused him of being “disrespectful” to try to trust US-UKRINE politics over American journalists.
“You should thank the president for trying to get into this conference,” Vance Angk told Zelenskyy.

On Friday, August 15, Trump and Putin met at the Joint Base Elmendorf-Ricardson in Anchorage, Alaska, to talk about what it takes for Russia to stop its invasion of Ukraine, which began on February 24, 2022.
The three -hour meeting did not lead to a weapons weapons agreement, although Trump told reporters afterwards that the two made “great progress” and rated the summit a 10 out of 10.
“We had an extremely productive meeting, and many points agreed on. There are only one few who are left,” Trump said. “Some are not so important. One is probably the most important.”
Still, he offered no details about the content of their conversation, nor an explanation as to why he rolled out a red carpet for Putin on the asphalt and spent lonely time with the hostile leader in a limousine.
Unlike Trump’s other bilateral meetings, which have been followed by long joint press conferences, the heads of state only prepared prepared comments afterwards and refused to take questions from reporters.
Putin first spoke and broke the tradition of getting the host nation to start remarks and said: “I expect today’s agreement to be the starting point not only for the solution to the Ukrainian issue but will also help us get back business -like and pragmatic relations between Russia and the United States”
Overall, Trump and Putin’s comments about the summit lasted just 15 minutes.
