A mother has been accused of abuse after she is alleged to have met and injured a teenager with a Stanley Cup at a school in New York.
Toni Monroe, 35, hit a 14-year-old girl “several times” with a water bottle during a change between the student and her 15-year-old daughter on August 12 at Brentwood High School in Long Island, says Suffolk County police in one News notice.
Police stated that the 14-year-old student left school when she and a 15-year-old girl exchanged words about 11 o’clock local time. Monroe, who is the mother of the 15-year-old, then struck the 14-year-old several times with a metal water bottle before a safety guard broke up the change.
A short time later, the mother was arrested in the parking lot, according to the police news message. The injured 14-year-old was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The injured teen has been identified as Brentwood High School student Madison Evans, Per ABC 7 New York.
In pictures obtained by the outlet, two teenage girls are seen in a heated exchange at school, before a person believed to be Monroe is heard to tell one of the girls, who seems to be her daughter, “Give me your Stanley.” She then seems to beat the other girl repeatedly with the Stanley Cup, when she hears screaming.

“She threw a punch, I threw a punch back and we started fighting and her mother just came in and started hitting me with the cup,” said Evans Per NBC New York. “The next thing you know, I get pressed into school and saw blood drop … I saw blood over my hands.”
Monroe was accused of abuse in the second degree and jeopardized a child’s welfare after the incident.

At her arrangement in court on August 13, Monroe’s lawyer claimed that she was at school at the time to attend a meeting that her daughter was bullied, Per ABC 7 New York. The lawyer also denied that Monroe punched the girl and claimed that Evans attacked his daughter first.
Monroe was released after arranging with surveillance and signed an order for protection to stay away from Evans, according to the outlet.
“We are aware of the incident that occurred yesterday under termination involving two students and one parent,” Brentwood High School said in a statement on August 13 as per News 12 Long Island. “Safety and well -being for our students is always our highest priority, and this type of behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated in our schools.”
