Jimmy Fallons 2025 Summer Book Club Pick explores an unlikely friendship (exclusive)

August 13th Tonight show host, 50, announced live on the air that his summer 2025 book club pick will be My friends By Fredrik Backman.

The newest novel from A man named Ove and Beastown Author, My friends Tells the story of a teenage escape and a former teacher who is gathered by a painting that has deep meaning to both.

Fallon revealed the book from a special Tonight show Portfolio, before sharing that each audience member would also go home with a copy.

Earlier this month announced Fallon’s return of its Fallon Book ClubAnd asked the viewers for help with what to read the next. The winner was selected from suggestions sent to Book Club’s Instagram accountand included titles such as The way to sore hearts by Annie Hartnett, What will people think? By Sara Ham, Maggie; Or, a man and a woman entering a bar by Katie Yee and What kind of paradise By Janelle Brown.

“We will look at everything, and then we will just go” this one seems, as, on the brand for us, “Fallon said in its first announcement August 6.” And then we will all read it together. Summer is not over. We have time to read. We want everyone to read! ”

In July 2025, Fallon chose The forest By Liz Moore as his official 2024 Summer Book Club read. The literary thriller maps the disappearance of a girl from an Upstate New York Summer Camp – and links it to the mysterious disappearance of her brother year earlier.
