The Chinese owned social media platform prohibited in the United States over national security issues about the information it collects on users.
The popular video sharing app Short got dark Late January 18 and disappeared from app stores to concern for millions of users.
The service was restored when new president Donald Trump began his second term and ordered a 75-day break to maintain the law, signed by its predecessor, Joe Bidenand passed overwhelming by congress.
However, Apple and Google had not made Tiktok available in their app stores until now.
The TikTok ban was adopted because of the concern that the Chinese government could exploit the app to spy on Americans or secretly influence US public opinion through data collection and content manipulation.
It ordered the company to divest itself from its Chinese owner, replacement dance or be banned.
Trump has suggested a joint venture Between the United States and Byte, although he did not give details about how this could be achieved.
“In essence, with Tiktok, I have the right to either sell it or close it,” Trump said shortly after ordering the break.
“We may have to get approval from China too … but I am sure they will approve it or which would be a hostile document” which can be revoked with customs, he said.
Companies that violate the law, which remain officially in force, face penalties of up to $ 5,000 per user if the app is reached.
Trump had tried to ban TikTok in the United States over similar national security problems during his first stint in the service but said he now have ‘warm spot’ for the app.
