Lewis Hamilton launches a new alcoholic spirit for mezcal lovers

Lewis Hamilton Launches Almave Humo, a new Mezcal-inspired drunk product in its premium non-alcoholic line Almave, in collaboration with Casa Lumbre. The drink provides a high-quality smoky drink for traditional mezcal lovers to sip on stones or neat-the alcohol.

“I’m proud of what we’ve achieved with the latest innovation,” Hamilton said. “I think Almave drinkers will really enjoy the unique, smoky taste of Almave Humo.”

The Formula One driver, 40, stopped drinking alcohol two years ago as a way to follow his strict training program. Hamilton shared that alcohol distracted him from reaching his peak both athletically and mentally in an interview with Vogue In November 2023. The seven-time F1 champion also trusted that he would “suffer for several days” after hard evenings.

After announcing his abstinence from alcohol, Hamilton then collaborated with Casa Lumbre founder and Master Distiller Iván Saldaña in October 2023. The two created Almave, the non-alcoholic distilled spirit mark.

Almave uses Espadin Agave, the same plant that is used to make Tequila and Mezcal, to create its non -alcoholic beverage – except that it is not fermented after the distillation process.

“Iván and I have talked about exploring further in the discovery of Mezcal since the launch of Almave,” Hamilton said. “I have learned so much from his commitment to Agave.

Almave Humo joins two other “spirits” in the line, Almave Blanco and Ámbar.

Despite a slow start to the season in its Ferrari debut, British Racing Driver has won more races than any other driver in the history of the category -with a total of 105 F1 Grand Prix victories.
