Kabir married colleagues Hannah Claire Blackwell In a “Dream Fusion” wedding in Sevierville, Tennessee, which mixed the couple’s respective Bangladeshi and southern roots.
“For me this marriage is more than a celebration. It’s a stamp of confirmation,” Kabir tells People. “That’s the moment the words” I love you “that I have told her over and over again now enrolled in the story for everyone to see.”

For the ceremony, the guests were greeted by an enchanting floral lined time. The altar contained an asymmetrical, organic installation of flowers in soft shades of pink and purple, set against a forested background and views of the large smoky mountains.
The couple’s family went down in the hallway to Yoko Shimomuras “Deary loved”, the theme song in Kabir’s favorite child game, RIKE HEARTS. The wedding party followed the section “Andante Maestoso” from Pas de Deux I Tchaikovskys NutcrackerOp. 71, as Blackwell fell in love when she first heard it in Barbie in the Nutcracker.

When Blackwell and Kabir replace their handwritten promises under the pavilion, it began to rain. In Bangladesh’s wedding tradition, rain symbolizes a blessing, which indicates to the couple that everything had adapted exactly as it was supposed to.
“All I want is to continue living the life I have lived for the last and a half years with OVI,” Blackwell tells People. “It just means so much to finally cement that in front of our entire family and friends and doing it in a way that melts our cultures.”
Kabir shares: “I am most excited to go through life with my best friend by my side. No matter what comes on our way, whether it is a hard day, an unexpected turn, a new adventure or just a quiet night on the couch and watching bad reality -TV, I will have Hannah with me through everything … ”
The ceremony was officiated by the couple’s college friend, Don Black, and included personal reflections from Kabir’s brother, pain, and Blackwell’s swogs, Adam Kemper.
The reception inside the Grand Hall glowed with soft candles and bloomed with pastel roses, clematis, lisianthus and trailing greenery.
The guests sat in white chairs at long tables draped in romantic flowers from BBJ layer. They enjoyed a lively spread of traditional Indian dishes, such as rich butter chicken and tasteful goat curry, along with southern American favorites such as crispy fried chicken and warm, buttery corn bread. There were several desserts, including a three -stroke wedding cake, and classic, chocolate and banoffe (banana toffee) bread pudding. Two Bangladeshian desserts were Gulab Jamun, which is soft, deep -fried dough balls traditionally made by Khoya, and Kheer, a creamy rice pudding.

Kabir danced to panic! At Disco’s “The End of All Things” with Blackwell, which changed to a “glamorous, South Asian style” second look inspired by a saree designed by Thailand-based GLARLATEDESIGN.

Kabir and Blackwell met at the University of Tennessee. At the end of the semester, Kabir sent an e -mail message to the whole class and invited them to group study causes and sent a second e -mail with his phone number just to Blackwell and logged out as “The brown boy sitting behind you on Hawaiian shirts every day.” Just a few hours before the final exam, Blackwell finally showed up to a study program and the two bound over everything except the final.
Shortly after, Kabir Blackwell took on his first date to Waffle House with only $ 10.13 left in his bank account. Years later in February 2024, He asked the question on a cobblestone road in Boston.
“For me, this marriage is a continuation of everything we have already built together, the basis for love, trust and deep understanding that has transported us through so many seasons of life,” says Blackwell. “Being with OVI has never been about big gestures or perfect moments, but about showing up for each other, day after day.”
The newlyweds will travel to Conrad Punta de MitaIn Mexico, for a week -long honeymoon.
Afterwards, they will start their search for a permanent home in the southeast, preferably in Tennessee. Their new show, What is cookin ‘Will be broadcast on the food network and stream at HBO Max this fall.
