Soil, wind and fire revealed what the experience of acting with Sabrina carpenter was like.
In one Interview with Vulture On Tuesday, August 5, Philip Bailey – who has been the band’s frontman since 1972 – opened its two hits “Let’s Groove” and “September” with the pop star during her Lollapalooza set in Chicago on Sunday, August 3.

“They sent us a private plane and our entourage,” Bailey said. “We jumped a plane at 7am, went in and had the rehearsal.”
Bailey said he was “almost worried” over time crunch.
“But by that night they had called everything,” he said.
Bailey also praised the “Manchild” hit maker, 26 and said she “did her homework on which verse to take.”
“We went out there and floated on all that energy,” he said.
Bailey noted that carpenters were “very heartfelt, very kind and very easily accessible.”
While the “fantasy” musician noted that collaborations could be a throw, he was pleased with how their Lollapalooza set turned out.
“Her energy and our energy were very compatible and complementary to each other,” Bailey said.
He continued: “How she puts together her show, when it comes to how it accelerates and builds, was fantastic. Where she chose to put our segment was perfect.”
