Prince Harry’s ex Cressida Bonas will be sincere if motherhood in new interview

Cressida good becomes sincere about the reality of motherhood.

The 36-year-old actress and mother of two opened up in a new interview with Country & Town House Shortly before welcoming her daughter, DelphinaIn June.

“When it comes to motherhood, I had this picture of a woman sitting under a tree with a calm child wrapped in a blanket in the sun and looked completely glowing. But that’s just not it, right?” Prince HarryEx-girlfriend admitted. “You’ve been sick at your top, it’s in your hair and your child screams.”

Bonas and her half-sister, Isabella Branson, share her stories about parenting and reflections on her own mother, Lady Mary-Gaye Curzon, on their podcast, Lessons from our mothersWelcome other British celebrities to open up on parenting.

“You hear so many different stories, and it’s just been really beautiful and really pretty emotionally,” she shared Country & Town House. “The love I feel for my son is a love that I could not even describe because it sometimes feels so visceral, but it is also very challenging.”

After meeting Prince Harry from 2012 to 2014, Bonas married real estate investor Harry Wentworth-Stanley in July 2020. In addition to Delphina, they share a 2-year-old son, Wilber James.

Bonas gave her daughter the middle name Pandora to honor her half-sister Pandora Cooper-Key, who died of cancer in July 2024. In the last interview she opened about parenting during the tragic era and said: “I had no choice but to be present with my son instead of being at that place of grief.”

“And I realized that all children really want to be from you is not perfect, but to be present with them at the moment,” she added.

Bonas was Prince Harry’s last public relationship before he started meeting Meghan Markle 2016. The couple Married in May 2018 and share two children: Prince Sarker6 and Princess LiliBet4.

Meghan has shared similar feelings on motherhood. She praised Harry as a “Hands-on Dad” During an international women’s panel at the SXSW conference in March 2024, at the same time as she becomes sincere about the struggle she met as a mother.

“When you are a new mom, it’s a really vulnerable time,” explained the Duke of Sussex. “The effect that social media can have on new mothers, even just the lack of sleep because they spend all this time browsing, but it can also be really staggering for them to see this depiction of motherhood that looks so perfect when we all know it is not perfect. We all know it is messy.”
