Couple Awards Dog, 19, at the wedding before he had to put him down

Ryan and Libbee Dyer’s emotional wedding day were a celebration of love – and the many beautiful years they spent with their dog, Jack.

As they prepared to tie the knot, the couple also faced the heartbreaking reality to have to put down their beloved 19-year-old pet.

“He’s going to go to heaven on Monday,” said Libbee, who wears his wedding dress, in a NU-Viral video shared on Instagram of their wedding video, Jamie Ross.

Ryan and Libbee decided to honor Jack on their special day, with all their friends and family surrounding them.

“This weekend, as much as it is our celebration, it is also a party for Jack, just that everyone we love can say goodbye to him because we do everything with him,” explained the bride in the clip, which shows the dog-that is dressed in a small black and white tuxedo and was in a carriage decorated with bands that guests were present.

The video also contains various photos and clips of the couple’s trips and adventures with Jack, including a ride at Australia’s Puffing Billy, the world’s oldest steam locomotive. Jack can be seen resting his head on the windowsill in an open window and catching a breeze during the trip.

“I feel that he has touched some of everyone’s life in his 19 years,” Libbee noted about Jack’s legacy.

Ross’ video, which has received more than 3 million views, also captures the couple standing at the altar, as Ryan said through tears to Libobe, “and even if our trio is about to become a duo, I know it will not be long before we fill the back seat again.”

In a long caption, Ross shared how Dyer’s story and love for Jack touched him.

“I usually do not get emotional at weddings today – I remain quite focused on filming, but this story got me. When I came on the wedding day, it was immediately clear how much Jack meant to his Ryan & Lib, and I knew I had to catch what I could,” he wrote.

“Although it is not the kind of story that would fit into a wedding movie, I knew I wanted to put together something like a memory case,” he added. “At the heart of it, my work is about preserving a snapshot in time – something real to return to when the years go by.”

Ryan and libbe told Today.com That they made the difficult decision to put Jack down two weeks before their wedding and promised to get the most of the time they had left with their pet.

On their wedding day he was a guest of honor.

“I had his bed behind us at the wedding for dinner, so he had some of the entrance, a little dessert, a bit of his head (the course),” Ryan told the outlet.

“Everyone had to go up to him and say goodbye, or give him a pat, give him a treat. He got all the attention during the cocktail hour, which he loved,” he added.

Jack has been Ryan’s faithful companion since he was a child. When he was 12, his parents surprised him and his sister with two puppies, and Ryan got Jack, then only 8 weeks old.

“I still remember that they drove up the driveway, and Jack’s head was above the car window,” Ryan told today.com.

Eventually, Libbee came into the duo’s life, and they became a family of three.

The couple said it has been heartwarming to see how Jack’s story has touched so many people, as flooding the video comment section with messages about sympathy.

“Jake was the center of our universe, and it felt really appropriate that now almost 4 million people have seen how special he was,” Libbee told today.com.

Ross is happy that he could preserve these valuable memories from Jack’s last moments for dyes.

“Hearing the story directly from Libbee gave it an extra layer of intimacy. It did it as a time capsule for how she felt at the exact moment,” the videographer told the outlet.
