Means of furry friendsAn organization in Manitoba, Canada, named six puppies after popular Generation Alpha Slang -Terms – including Skibidi, Rizz, Sigma, Gyat, Cap and Ohio. (Gen Alpha usually refers to those born between 2013 and 2025.)
“Please welcome our Gen Alpha -Hill -because nothing screams in 2025 as a group of puppies named after Tiktok -prescribing we understand only half,” means for fur friends wrote In the caption of an Instagram post showing the dogs.
On one later updateThe organization revealed that Ohio was adopted, but the other puppies are still looking for their eternal homes.

In the meantime, Skibidi does not have a fixed definition. It gained popularity after it was used by the Skibidi toilet, a Youtube show showing that human-headed toilets go up against cameras, according to Merriam-Webster.

Talk to TodayErika Shelby, the funds for furry friends social media manager, said that she and intake coordinator Dana Holden must “become creative” when naming adopterable dogs, so no puppy has the same name.
The outlet reported that the couple decided to use the Gen Alpha Slang the term as monikers for the dogs after they are tied over the strange words that their young sons use. “Everyone with a 12-year-old will know what we mean,” shelby said.
Holden and Shelby are now “quite excited” over the attention they and their rescue have received for the fun dog names and explain, “we both spend so much of our lives that are devoted to save life.”
