Matt Rife is the “legal guardian” for the real Annabelle doll

Matt Rife May be known for his comedy, but he is a horror lover through and through – and now he has the haunted collection to prove it.

On Friday, August 1, comedian announced the Tiktok That he and his friend, Youtube -Creator Elton Castee, has “officially bought” the home and museum for Ed and Lorraine Warren. This includes the famous paranormal investigators’ whole haunted collection, “Rife said – including Notorious Annabell doll.

In Tiktok, Rife sat down to explain his “super random” purchase of Monroe, Conn. Home and Museum, called Warren’s occult museum, as well as the collection of haunted artifacts, as has been feed for modern horror hits like Annabelle and Magic Movies.

“This may be the most important and prominent part of paranormal history in the world. Ed and Lorraine Warren are who took demonology and ghost hunting and paranormal investments and made it mainstream,” Rife said in Tiktok. “I know many of you don’t know (what) any of this means anything, but if you follow Ghost stuff it is about as big as it gets.”

The comedian continued to explain that he and Castee are now “legal guardians and caregivers” in Warren’s home, as well as the museum and its collection of 750 artifacts. But they do not have permanent ownership, he clarified.

“I have to go on record and say that we do not legally own the objects, but we are the legal custodians and the caregivers of the objects for at least the next five years,” Rife said.

A representative of Rife confirmed the purchase as “legit” in a statement to People on Saturday, August 2, while representatives of the museum did not immediately respond to people’s request for comment.

The comedian also shared big plans for Warrens Occolm Museum, whose doors have been closed for several years. (The museum was closed in 2019 due to a zone violation, Monroe Sun previously reported.)

“Soon,” the comedian in Tiktok teased, the house will be open to guests, with alternatives to visit one day, night or all weekend. Meanwhile, the museum will be opened for tours, he added in the caption, “so you can experience and learn all the haunted story around this amazing place.”

“This is the most random hobby ever, but it’s so f —— cool, man,” said the comedian. “I should probably collect stamps or something – could be a little safer.”

Rife also revealed that he and Castee have been in the presence of Annabelle and shared a photo of the couple with the horror icon, a real antique ragged Ann doll that was probably obsessed with an inhuman spirit. The New England Society for Psychic Research (NESPR), founded by Warrens, previously described what “demonically obsessed.”

Then it Magic Films threw Annabelle in the limelight, the doll, which has been housed at the Connecticut Museum since the 1970s, has left its long -term home – in its glass case – to make performances at events and conventions.

In May, Annabelle met the road for nationwide Devils on the go tour with Dan Rivera, a leading leader for NESPR. Months into the tour, Rivera died at a hotel in Gettysburg, Pa. At that time, Adams County Coroner Francis Dutrow confirmed for people that the doll was not present when he arrived at the scene on July 13, when the authorities were announced about Rivera’s death.
