Dexter’s Jack Alcott says he and Michael C. Hall do pushups to “get reinforced” before filming scenes together (exclusively)

Jack Alcott and Michael C. Hall Sometimes it has to be pumped up before a big scene.

At Dexter: Resurrection The world premiere in New York on July 9, Alcott told People that although there is rarely a lot of prep between him and hall before filming together, the father-son duo sometimes need a little extra motivation.

“There have definitely been times where one of us or both of us will come down and do some pushups to be reinforced, and there has been one or two moments of just taking a second and standing with each other,” says Alcott, 26.

Alcott emphasized that these cases are mostly few and far between.

As Alcott is reminiscent of, “We’re increasing or running the lines never really. We’re just … lock in and go.” He explains this lack of prep as letting himself and the hall “jump right in so that it is completely fresh.”

Alcott joined the Crime Thriller -Franchisen 2021 Dexter: First BloodPlay the title character’s son, Harrison Morgan. Alcott reconsidered his role in Dexter: Resurrectionwho released their first two episodes on Paramount+ on July 11.

This series follows Dexter and his son to New York City, where the former try to repair their relationship. Of course, things quickly sprout out of control.

To go with alcott and hall are some fresh faces to Closed franchise, including big names such as A Thurman and Peter Dinklage.

Dexter: Resurrection is the fourth series within Closed franchise, who started with ClosedEight season’s driving from 2006 to 2013. The show was an adaptation of the novel in 2004 Darkly dreaming Dexter, Written by Jeff Lindsay.

The franchise returned to the small screen eight years later with Dexter: New bloodA follow -up series that ran during a season. Two more Closed show would accompany prequel Dexter: Original Sin In December 2024 and the last offer, Dexter: Resurrectionthat follows the events in Dexter: New blood.
