A British influencer spoke after becoming a victim of a viral death.
Contents Grace Wolstenholme was presented in a video on the social media platform, which falsely suggested that she had died.
“It has come to my attention that someone has put on TikTok who says they are my brother and that I am dead. Well, excuse me if I am wrong, I have not just gone from F —— Death, I have? I am obviously still here,” said 22-year-old in a video response, which was originally published in May 2025.
Wolstenholme shared a short screen recording of Hoaxen, which contained an old clip from her that fell into the gym originally published on her page 2021. It was followed by a video of Kista that was lowered in the ground.
“I lost my autistic sister today so I bought this pillow to imitate cuddle her,” text over the video read.
Wolstenholme, who has gathered 1.3 million TikTok followers for their videos about living with cerebral palsy, called the hoax “ill” and accused the user of using her and pretending to have cerebral palsy to promote his business.
Wolstenholme learned about the Death Hoax video after someone was enough for her mother to forward their condolences, she told BBC. “People commented and said,“ Rest in peace, grace. “(They) were seriously destroyed, she explained.
The creator had not been active on social media at that time because he felt ill, the BBC reported.
In her video dealing with Hoaxen, Wolstenholme said: “I have been very ill lately, so he published this false information and claims that I am dead is very serious.”
At that time, she said that the video had reached 41,000 views.
The BBC reported that after the video, Wolstenholme lost thousands of followers “after the video, which has reduced her income on the platform.
While the video was removed from the app after Wolstenholme was enough for someone on Instagram who had the same username, the outlet reported that it emerges days later. In addition, Wolstenholme was said to have “offensive messages” from the user.

Tiktok eventually removed the video, and all social media accounts associated with the username have been disabled, the BBC reported.
“It’s just disgusting how he can do it (dead) to get opinions and pretend he has cerebral palsy. I can’t say how angry this video has made me,” Wolstenholme said on Tiktok.
Metropolitan Police was announced about the harassment per BBC. A police officer spokeswoman told the outlet, “The victim continues to be supported by officers. At this stage no arrests have been made.”
