One woman says she would be okay with never seeing her in-laws again after they have continued to ignore her needs-to-go as far as ignoring her deadly peanut allergy.

In a post that is shared to RedditShe writes that she and her 24-year-old hubby have been shopping with his in-laws for more than a year because they recently welcomed a boy, the situation is now out of control.

“When my hubby and I started dating, I was terribly respected by his parents but got stuck by my hubby who tried to figure things out. I have a deadly peanut allergy and his parents did not care,” she writes. “They would cook and tell me after putting the food in front of me that there were peanuts in it. This happened while I was about 5 months pregnant and (it) was when I told my hubby that I didn’t go around them anymore but he could do what he wants.”

She adds that the disrespect continued at her Baby Shower, when his mother “threw such a fit” about not serving peanuts that she finished interrupting the event.

“After that I was such a wreck because of how bad I felt for my hubby and unborn children,” she adds. “I wanted things to be calculated and I didn’t want my hubby to handle such a terrible situation.”

Later, the in-laws made a matter of seeing the newborn child-refused to see the child in the woman’s family home after praying for an apology for the previous incidents.

After refusing to apologize or visiting the newborn child, the in -laws eventually interrupted the couple, even blocked them on social media.

“I told my hubby that I didn’t want our baby around them alone because of how much they ignore literally something they know with other people,” she writes. “He agreed with me thankfully. I just know that things get worse before they get better. I feel it aggravates my postpartum.”

Others at Reddit offer their hold of the situation, with many who claim that the situation is quite common.

“It is the textbook toxic in -laws 101,” writes a commentator. “You and your hubby who pull the line are the only sensible move here. No excuse means no asset, simple as it. They choose to be inconvenience, not family. Protect your mental health and your child, because these people sound like a responsibility, not an asset. Postpartum is tough enough but that circus. Stay stuck.”
