Maddison Steiner Learned from the first place the importance of taking instructions and warnings after the operation seriously.
In July 2024, Steiner decided to get a breast enlargement after having “a child a few years before” and undergone “all changes” that come with breastfeeding.
“I felt ready to do something for myself and update the way I knew about my body,” Steiner tells People exclusively.
Influencer found a surgeon who worked with local content creators in the Seattle area and was impressed with his results. She received 360cc implants placed over the muscle, and her surgeon gave her detailed instructions after the operation, which included the guidelines for ordinary care, such as what to do, and even more important, what not to do.
“The specific procedure I chose was labeled as an ’48 hour’s rapid recovery,” which means the healing process is supposed to be very quick with minimal pain, “she explains.” After 72 hours after the operation, I felt good-as if I was ready to get back to everyday life. ”
Then she made a “big mistake.”
“I started lifting my child, although my surgeon specifically had advised to lift something – including children – for six weeks,” she shares. “I misunderstood the instructions and thought it was just about lifting things above my head, not because everyone lifted in general.”
At week four or five, Steiner began to notice small changes in the positioning of her implants, especially around her cleavage. It wasn’t until after a Halloween photoshoot that she noticed that something was off. Steiner was wearing a corset, and when she took it she saw that her implants had shifted dramatically.
“That night, when I lay down, I saw my implant slipping into my armpit – it was visible touching under my skin,” she reminds. “I immediately contacted my surgeon and he confirmed that the pocket on my left had stretched.”
She especially carried her toddlers on the left side of the body, which caused her implant pocket to stretch and let the implant switch in place.
“As soon as I realized that something was wrong, I sent photos to my nurse. She immediately forwarded them to my surgeon, and the next morning they called me in for an exam, “remembers Steiner.” Not long after, they planned me for an audit operation just a few weeks later. ”
“The audit surgery was more painful than the first. My surgeon had to manually sew implant pockets to tighten them and prevent further shift,” she explains. “When I first saw the results the day after the operation, I was honestly frightened. I thought I saw Botch.”
“I started crying because how he had dropped my chest to help his pocket heal made everything look very strange,” she continues. “He told me to trust the process and give it time, and he was right. After a few weeks healing, everything decided perfectly, and I am satisfied with the results.”

Now that he looks back at the experience Steiner shares his advice for those who can undergo a similar operation and advice: “Take your post-op instructions seriously.”
“Since plastic surgery is optional, people do not always treat it with the same level of care or seriousness – but it is still a major operation,” she says. “Six weeks of being careful may feel like a long time, especially if you are a busy parent like me, but there is nothing compared to a lifetime of results.”
“If you experience complications, you will not panic and reach out to your doctor,” she adds. “My surgeon was extremely responsive and got me back on the right track quickly, so don’t be afraid to talk and ask for help.”
Steiner shared his experience of bending his recovery online in the hope that “it will help someone else.” The video Of her who discussed her experience went viral and collected 47,600 views.
“Before my surgery, I browsed through Tiktok and Instagram and watched videos of other women’s experiences with breast enlargement,” shares Steiner. “If even a person encounters my video and it helps them, maybe they take their recovery more seriously or feel less alone, be a sharing worth it. I’m always happy to be honest if it can help someone else navigate on their trip.”
