Over 143,000 pounds of Bologna products across the country recalled due to “misbranding”

  • Seven Bologna products from Gaiser’s European style regulations are recalled for fault labeling
  • The recalled products contained undeclained meat or poultry, according to the food safety and inspection service (FSIS)
  • The items were sold between March 20 and June 20 and distributed all over the country

Bologna products sold all over the country are rEmalled for incorrect bridges.

Seven types of Bologna sold by Gaiser’s European style regulations have been revoked, the food safety and inspection service announced on June 27. The recalled products, which were sold between March 20 and 20, contain meat or poultry ingredients that were not explained on their labels.

The following products are subject to revocation:

  • Vacuum -packed packages with “family tree bologna veal” containing undeclared pork
  • Plastic -packed packages with “Babushka’s recipe chicken bologna” containing undeclared pork
  • Plastic -wrapped packages with “fancy bologna” marked with pork as an ingredient but contains undeclared beef and chicken
  • Vacuum packed packages of “Gaiser’s Russian brand Doctorskaya Bologna” which contains undeclared beef.
  • Plastic -packed packages with “Gaiser’s bologna veal” containing undeclared chicken and pork
  • Plastic -packed packages with “Gaisers Turkey Bologna” containing undeclared chicken and pork
  • Plastic Packed Package with “Chicken Bologna Kypoyk Paba” containing undeclared pork

Each article also contains the establishment number EST. 5385, according to the announcement.

FSIS learned about the question through a complaint through the Office of Inspector General’s Hotline, after which the agency conducted an investigation and determined the error labeling problem.

Consumers and retailers in possession of the recalled articles are encouraged to dispose of the product or return it to the distributor or store it purchased. At present, no cases of illness have been reported in connection with the error labeling, but anyone who suspects that they may be ill because of the recalled products should contact their doctor.
